Puji dan syukur kami panjatkan ke hadirat Tuhan Yang Maha Esa atas kasih, anugerah, dan penyertaan-Nya, sehingga buku berjudul “Teologi dan Pendidikan Agama Kristen di Tengah Geopolitik Global: Iman, Etika, dan Perdamaian di Era Krisis Dunia” ini dapat diselesaikan dengan baik. Buku ini lahir dari keprihatinan sekaligus tanggung jawab iman dalam merespons dinamika geopolitik global yang semakin kompleks dan penuh ketidakpastian.
Dunia saat ini sedang menghadapi berbagai krisis yang saling terkait, mulai dari konflik antarnegara, ketegangan ideologi, krisis kemanusiaan, hingga dampak globalisasi yang tidak merata. Situasi ini tidak hanya berdampak pada stabilitas politik dan ekonomi, tetapi juga memengaruhi kehidupan sosial, budaya, dan spiritual manusia. Dalam konteks tersebut, gereja dan dunia pendidikan, khususnya Pendidikan Agama Kristen, ditantang untuk tidak bersikap pasif, melainkan hadir secara reflektif, kritis, dan profetis.
Buku ini berupaya mengkaji secara mendalam bagaimana teologi dan Pendidikan Agama Kristen dapat memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam menghadapi realitas geopolitik global. Iman Kristen dipahami bukan hanya sebagai keyakinan pribadi, tetapi sebagai kekuatan transformatif yang mendorong keterlibatan aktif dalam memperjuangkan keadilan, perdamaian, dan rekonsiliasi. Melalui pendekatan teologis dan pedagogis, para penulis mengajak pembaca untuk melihat bahwa pendidikan iman memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk kesadaran global, kepekaan etis, serta komitmen terhadap perdamaian.
Lebih lanjut, buku ini menekankan pentingnya integrasi antara iman dan etika dalam merespons berbagai krisis dunia. Pendidikan Agama Kristen diharapkan mampu membentuk peserta didik yang tidak hanya memiliki pemahaman teologis yang kuat, tetapi juga memiliki karakter yang mencerminkan kasih Kristus, kepedulian terhadap sesama, serta keberanian untuk menjadi pembawa damai di tengah konflik dan perpecahan. Dengan demikian, pendidikan iman tidak terlepas dari realitas dunia, melainkan hadir sebagai sarana pembentukan agen-agen perdamaian yang relevan dan kontekstual.
